When not posing nude, Bonny Large, Playboy’s Miss March 1973, had a day job that involved looking after a large robot and being a magician’s assistant. Our lives seem pretty empty in comparison.

We’re looking for people who like to draw... and write... and photograph... and model... and provoke. For both the website and an upcoming print project, new (and returning) contributors are welcome. Think passionate defences of individualism and free expression, probes into the outer limits of pop culture, contrarian opinions, erotic provocations and revolutionary ideas. No safe spaces here. Financial rewards will be minimal; the creative rewards considerable.

Starting this month, the BBFC will be in charge of deciding what is and isn’t pornography on the internet in the UK. Aside from all the other issues involved in the forthcoming porn blockade – the issues of internet censorship, the dangers in handing over personal details of porn viewers to private companies and governments, the crushing of small indie producers who will not be able to afford to impose the onerous new rules – we should be very concerned at the idea of a censorship board like the BBFC being allowed to decide what is porn and what isn’t. Two world–famous queens live in The Hague. In the middle of the 1970s, Planet of the Apes was huge in Britain. Really huge. While the TV series had bombed in America, seeing it cancelled after just thirteen episodes, in Britain it was a ratings smash, and Ape Fever was rampant among the nation’s youth.
