A series of lectures on sex and death by The Last Tuesday Society.
Viktor Wynd, curator of the Museum of Curiosities and the Last Tuesday Society, has announced a series of online lectures, talks and workshops for 2021. As Covid continues to wreak havoc with live events – and will do so for some time, despite the wildest wishes of those who think the vaccines will immediately change everything – so digital versions of previously live talks continue to expand, and this is not a bad thing – events that might have previously been available to a handful of people can now be seen by all, and it seems to us that this is something that should continue long after the pandemic is ancient history.
Wynd is offering weekly Zoom lecture and events exploring sex, death and the occult – and more besides, with lecturers such as Ronald Hutton, Marina Warner, Philip Hoare and others, as well as bedtime stories by Wynd himself. Fifty per cent of the latter’s income is going to homeless charity Crisis.
There is something for everyone -well, every Reprobate reader at least – amongst these talks, most of which are by donation – so whatever your budget, they should be affordable. This is the future – embrace it, and perhaps The Reprobate will one day be offering something similar.
