We don’t often post music videos here on The Reprobate, because quite frankly, most of them are appalling exercises in narcissism by the untalented. But now and again, something special pops up that we can’t resist, and when someone mentions famed occultist and rocket scientist Jack Parsons as the subject matter for a new song, we’re going to sit up and pay attention.
The new video for The Claypool Lennon Delirium’s two-part song Blood and Rockets – Movement I, the Saga of Jack Parsons, Movement II, Too the Moon – is a heady animated feast of phallic rocket ships, floating boobs, Baphomets, Aleister Crowley and Thelma, in the style of Terry Gilliam. It’s a fine little surreal trip in its own right, and the music is quirkily catchy too.
Enjoy.
