Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson kick off their double header Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour of the US and Canada today, and to celebrate – and perhaps show that they haven’t become safe in their old age – the pair have recorded a cover of The Beatles track Helter Skelter – the song that allegedly inspired Charles Manson (it probably didn’t, but let’s not spoil the mythology). It’s a pretty cracking cover of perhaps the finest Beatles track, we think. Though Siouxsie and the Banshees probably still have the edge on covers of the song.
