Former Sneaker Pimp Kelli Ali has announced a fascinating, ambitious and – from the brief snippets available – hugely impressive movie / album project, Ghostdriver. Described as a noir thriller and a love letter to London, the film and album are two separate but interlinked projects, produced side by side and influencing each other as they go.
With collaborators including Digitonal, Ulrich Schnauss, Christ (Boards of Canada) and Cult With No Name, the album mixes trip hop, sultry jazz and electronica to create a moody, atmospheric soundcape, while the film promises to be a dark and sexy affair.
