London’s Regent Street Cinema is programming a weekend of films at the end of April celebrating Soho – that’s Soho as was, not the sanitised, middle class enclave it has become of course.
Soho-A-Gogo features several Reprobate favourites, including Beat Girl and Expresso Bongo as part of an all-day event with Absolute Beginners on April 30th, preceded by another all-dayer on the 29th that presents jazz drama All Night Long, documentary Tubby Hayes: Man in a Hurry and The Small World of Sammy Lee. What a great line up of sharp suits, jazz music, juvenile delinquents, strippers and sleaze.
