Legends of the New York underground, filmmaker Beth B and multimedia icon Lydia Lunch are coming together again for the documentary The War is Never Over, currently shooting.
The two originally worked together on No Wave films Black Box (1978) and Vortex (1981), and later collaborated on B’s short films Thanatopsis (1991) and Visiting Desire (1996).
The film promises to “embrace the hardcore, the sensitive, the unbridled vivacity of Lydia Lunch, spoken word artist & singer of the NY No Wave scene. This is the definitive documentary by Beth B.”
No word on when we can expect to see this yet – we’ll keep you informed.
