News: Goblin, Fabio Frizzi and John Carpenter bring the horror to ATP Iceland

Where are you heading to for your summer holiday? Thought about Iceland? Well, maybe you should.

Keflavik in Iceland plays host to the ATP festival between July 1 -3, and there’s some sort of electro horror theme going on in the line-up. Headlining is John Carpenter, playing his own compositions for films like Halloween, The Fog and Escape from New York, as well as his recent Lost Themes recordings. Joining him are Goblin, best known for scoring Dario Argento films like Suspiria and Deep Red, as well as Dawn of the Dead, and Fabio Frizzi, the man behind the music for Lucio Fulci films like Zombie Flesh Eaters and City of the Living Dead. He’ll be presenting a live score to Fulci classic The Beyond at the festival.

There will also be music from Icelandic bands Valdimar, rock group Kimono, and uncompromising hardcore outfit Muck, instrumental trio Dirty Three, Sunns, Omar Souleyman, Andrew Hung, USA Out Of Vietnam, Mario Batkovic, JC Flowers, Grimm Grimm and ADSL Camels. And comedy from Stewart Lee.
