University Professor Porn Star Old Nick Forced Out Of His Job

Nicholas Goddard was, until recently, a professor who taught chemical engineering at the University of Manchester. He’s been there for 25 years, was lead tutor on three courses and has published several papers. It would seem that he was pretty good at his job.

Old Nick was, until slightly less recently, a ‘mature’ porn star in the UK’s rapidly dwindling sex industry, appearing in dozens of films where he copulated with younger ladies. By all accounts, he was also pretty good at his job.

Unfortunately, Nicholas Goddard and Old Nick were one and the same, the latter career taking place during his spare time when not teaching. And because we live in a sexually backward world, Goddard is now without a job. Suspended from work while the University carried out an ‘investigation’, he has quit – how voluntarily is a matter of conjecture. Being suspended from your job rarely suggests a secure future.

Nothing Goddard did was illegal – it’s not against the law to make porn, even in Britain. None of his films were of a dubious nature (unless you assume that all porn is dubious). Everyone involved was a consenting adult. And as is so often the case in such things, the secret only came out when he was recognised by a student – one who presumably enjoyed watching porn but took the moral high ground nevertheless in reporting him.

Goddard, who took to porn during a painful divorce and didn’t make much money (“mainly travel expenses”, he told The Sun) is now without a job – and presumably unlikely to get another teaching – despite there being no complaints about his professional standard or conduct.

Well played, everyone.
